I purchased Talweg Magnetic Fly Roost and used it while on the river and found it to be very helpful. It makes changing flies quick and it is very easy to use. If you find yourself on the river and changing flies this tool will be very helpful. Simple and easy to use.
After purchasing one that the hook tip was missing, the company quickly replaced it... thanks. Seems like other comments have this issue before too. The design is great; however, the rotating function could be improved. It appears that some dry lubricant or something was added to assist, but a bearing or someone oil-based approach would better suit this feature. Right now, I just spin the whole item and ignore that part.

My son got me this for Christmas. After just a few uses, the hook broke off. I had it on a zinger attached to my fly fishing pack. Not durable at all.
As a disabled vet with neuropathy in my hands this has made putting my Flys on leader or tippet much easier. I can't wait to get back in the river not just practice my knots.
