The Fly Roost XL is a magnetic fly threader designed to help you rig larger flies, even with gloves on. It works just like its little brother the Fly Roost but accommodates hooks in the 10 to 4/0 range. The magnet holds the fly, the funnel threads the line through the eye, and the shaft spins for quick knot tying.

Please make sure you purchased an authentic Talweg product. If you ordered from anywhere other than this website or an actual fly shop, if you paid anything other than 29.99, or if you got a useless piece of plastic in the mail , then you unfortunately purchased a fake from Chinese counterfeiters.
They are using our name and our images but they are selling fakes. Our products are made in and shipped from Utah. We would love to help you get the real product, but please don't leave us a review of a product that we didn't sell. If you're not sure, send us an email and we will get you taken care of.
I made the mistake of falling for a counterfeit, ad looked legit, was I wrong. I skeptically reordered straight from Talweg, had to wait for it, but it was worth the wait. Made getting the fly on much easier with my scarred up 55 year old semi arthritic mechanic's hands. Great job Talweg! My only suggestion would be to supply a lanyard with it.I'm looking at your Rod Roost next, looks like another great product!
